5 Tips for Finding the Best Airline Credit Card
Airline or frequent flyer cards can be the perfect credit card for people who travel a lot! Simply put, every purchase you make on an airline card accumulates points that can then be redeemed towards tickets for future flights. Each airline card is a little different, so it can be challenging to decide which one you want. Here are five tips to help you decide:

1. Consider your credit needs and habits. Will you make a lot of purchases on this card and accumulate points quickly, or are you an infrequent credit user? Do you intend to pay off the bill monthly or carry a balance? Considering questions like these will help you to decide which features will be the best fit for your lifestyle.

2. Consider which credit card features are most important to you. How fast do you want to be able to accumulate points? Do you want to be able to use your points on a specific airline? How important is a low APR or no annual fee? Do you want extra perks like a reservation service?

3. Read the fine print carefully. Make sure that you understand the terms of how you accumulate points and when and how you can use them. Check whether points expire after a certain amount of time and whether all transactions count towards accumulating points or only certain ones. Are there an annual fee, variable or special APRs, high late fees or other expenses?

4. Compare several cards that fit your main criteria to find the best one. Different companies can have very different terms and features. By comparing several different cards, you have a good chance of finding one that is a great fit for you.

5. Check several sources of information. The Federal Reserve publishes a survey of credit card terms every six months, and there are a wide range of websites on the Internet that will let you compare credit card offers and even apply online. You can also check with your preferred airline to see if they recommend any specific cards. To find and apply for an airline credit card, Beth Derkowitz recommends Find Credit Cards.
